About the USCIS Civics Test
The civics test is part of your naturalization interview. An officer asks you the questions out loud and you answer out loud, so the best practice is to recall the answer and say it, then check it.
There are two versions. The 2008 test draws from 100 questions and asks 10, with 6 correct to pass. The 2025 test draws from 128 questions and asks 20, with 12 to pass. Study the one that matches when you filed.
Some questions are about your own state, your senators, your representative, your governor, and your state capital. We fill those in for you so you learn the answers that count.
