Don't lose the test on the 5 values questions
The Australian citizenship test is 20 questions, and you need 15 correct to pass. But there is a catch that trips people up: 5 of those questions are about Australian Values, and you must get all 5 right. Miss even one and you fail the whole test, no matter how well you did on the rest.
That is why this set keeps a full Australian Values section, and why the interactive Australian citizenship test practice drills the values questions until you cannot miss them, free.

Common questions
How many questions is the actual Australian citizenship test?
The real test is 20 multiple-choice questions. You need 75% (15 of 20) to pass, and separately you must answer all 5 Australian Values questions correctly. You have 45 minutes.
What are the Australian Values questions, and why do they matter so much?
Five of the 20 questions cover Australia's shared values, such as respect for the freedom and dignity of the individual, equality, freedom of speech and religion, and the rule of law. You must get all five correct or you fail the whole test, even if your overall score is above 75%. This set flags every values question so you can drill them.
Are these the exact questions on the test?
No. Unlike some countries, Australia does not publish its live test questions. These are practice questions built from Our Common Bond, the official study resource every real question is based on. Practising them covers the same material the test draws from.
Is the PDF really free? What is inside it?
Yes, it is free to download with no email and no account, and free to share and print. The PDF has all 300 questions and answers grouped by section, plus a glossary of key terms from Our Common Bond at the end.
What happens if I fail the test?
You can resit. Retakes are generally available and many people pass on a second attempt, though repeated failures may mean reapplying. Confirm the current rules with the Department of Home Affairs.
Who is exempt from the test?
Applicants aged 60 and over at the time they apply, and some applicants under 18, are generally exempt from the test, though they may still attend an interview. Confirm your situation with the Department of Home Affairs.
The PDF is static. The app tracks what you get wrong.
