About the Australian Citizenship Test

The citizenship test has 20 multiple-choice questions from the Our Common Bond resource. You need 15 correct overall (75%) and you must answer all 5 Australian Values questions correctly, in 45 minutes.

Because the values questions are a hard requirement, we mark and track them on their own so you can be sure of them before test day.

You sit the test in person at a Department of Home Affairs office, on a computer, as part of your citizenship appointment.
